BED SUPPORT

Tatami

For SPAZIOBED the recommended mattress foundation is a tatami, which can be walked over, is breathable, provides heat and thermal insulation, and is easy to clean.

The tatami is made exclusively of vegetable fibers and is an article that has been used in Japan for centuries. Its weave makes it suitable for a mattress laid directly on top of it, affording good breathability, while at the same time creating a dust-proof storage bed.

It is also possible to equip each of our beds with a slatted or a breathable wooden platform mattress foundation, except in the case of the SPAZIOBED Living model.
